Here's This Week's Top Ten Free Bead Patterns

Wednesday June 25, 2008
Here's this week's Top Ten Free Bead Patterns for your beading pleasure.

By the way, as a side note, I've seen a few comments lately regarding the static content in this particular listing. I'd just like to note that this list reflect the most popular patterns as viewed by site readers each week, and is not always going to reflect newer or more recent additions to the site. It also does not contain any other page additions, updated material, new articles that are not specifically bead patterns, and it does not list items such as product reviews, Bead Seller Profiles, beading book reviews, or any of the other material from the Beadwork site.

However, beginning next week, I will begin posting a new Bog entry titled "What's New at Beadwork.About.com" which will let you know what new bead patterns, beading projects, bead classes, reviews, informative articles, bead seller profiles, and will also include interesting Forum posts Mail Bag items, and even an occasional image from readers, showing off your stuff!

Keep an eye out for this fun new Blog addition and I'll notify you here and through the Beadwork Newsletter when I post the first installment of "What New at Beadwork.About.com" here in the Beadwork Blog. Thanks!

Hooray for the Red, White, and Blue Bead Patterns

Monday June 23, 2008
Here's a list of beautiful Patriotic Bead Patterns. These bead patterns include a simple pair of Beaded Bunting Earrings that will work up fast and are perfect for a beginner, as well as a magnificent Eagle pattern, the always-popular Red, White and Blue with a Heart of Gold Peyote stitch bracelet designed by Leslie Pinkston.

And don't miss the magnificent bead pattern shown at left, titled She Stands Tall, designed by Margie Deebs shortly after September 11. This bead pattern is one of the most compelling, touching tribute designs I have seen, and I am honored to have it available to About.com users. If you have problems with the link in the article, try this version of She Stands Tall for loom, or She Stands Tall for Peyote Stitch. Let me know if you have any questions about this, or any other free bead patterns from this site, and as always, please do post your comments below. I would love to hear what those of you seeing She Stands Tall for the first time think of this amazing beadwork design and whether or not you would like to work this pattern, and if so, in which stitch. I already know my answer: yes, I would, yes I will and on a loom, thank you!
